About Pizzazz
Darlene Snow created Pizzazz Productions out the love and passion for
events. “I love being able to sit back at an event, watch people have
a great time, and know that I played a part in making that happen”.
Pizzazz
Productions is dedicated to exceeding our client’s expectations... We
believe in giving you personal attention to every detail, allowing you
to customize every aspect of your event.
Darlene has worked as an event professional in both corporate and
non-profit industries. She attended The Fundraising School through an
accelerated course in San Diego - receiving her certificate in
Fundraising Management. This course is offered through the Center on
Philanthropy at Indiana University. Course included Principles and
Techniques of Fundraising; Developing Leadership for Major Gifts,
Planned Giving; Interpersonal Communication for Fundraising.

Other events include birthday parties and business functions.
Additional experience has been as Special Events Coordinator (and
Director of Development) for the Burn Institute in San Diego.
Responsibilities included organizing and running more than 14 major
events plus numerous smaller events each year. The responsibilities
included site selection, identifying/securing and working with
sponsors, working with volunteers, timelines, deadlines, follow
through, set up, take down, logistics, permits, deposits – payments,
security, entertainment, working with rental agencies, food vendors,
hotel and other venue personnel, layouts/diagrams, registration, and
more.
The events included golf tournaments, silent auctions, wine tasting
and casino nights, destruction derbies, boot drives, Burn Run (parade
of more than 100 fire apparatus), Fire Expo (an event with 18,000
people attending), major donor receptions, volunteer
receptions/dinners, working with Fire Chiefs and Firefighters from
around San Diego, Imperial and Riverside counties. Event attendance
was between 300 and 18,000 – depending on the event. Golf tournaments
were at 138 – 152… full field.
