Giving
back to the community - Pizzazz Productions supports these local charities:
- www.servingcenter.org - The Round Rock Area Serving Center is a nonprofit
social services agency and food pantry that serves the Round Rock, Hutto, and Wells Branch areas. The Serving Center
has been providing assistance since 1986. In addition to the food
pantry and Round Rock Coats for Kids, financial assistance is also
provided for rent, utilities, transportation, temporary lodging, and
prescriptions. The agency is staffed by 200 volunteers, pays an
Executive Director, and is supported by local churches, civic groups,
businesses, the United Way of Williamson County, and the community of
Round Rock.
- www.lonestarparalysis.org - Lone Star Paralysis Foundation. Their mission is to
work themselves out of business. They are a dedicated group of people
working hard to find a cure for spinal cord injury, and they will —
this decade.
- www.stjude.org - St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. St. Jude is
unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility anywhere.
Discoveries made there have completely changed how the world treats
children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. They are where
some of today's most gifted researchers are able to do more science,
more quickly. Where doctors across the world send their toughest cases
and most vulnerable patients. Where no one pays for treatment beyond
what is covered by insurance, and those without insurance are never
asked to pay. They've built America's 3rd-largest health-care charity,
with a model that keeps the costs down and the funds flowing, so the
science never stops. All patients accepted for treatment at St. Jude
are treated without regard to the family's ability to pay.
- www.burninstitute.org - The Burn Institute is a nonprofit
health agency dedicated to reducing the number of burn injuries and
deaths in San Diego, Imperial, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
Founded in 1972, one of the Institute's first accomplishments was to
help establish the UCSD Regional Burn Center. Today, the Burn
Institute continues to: reach thousands of children and adults each
year with lifesaving fire and burn prevention education; fund vital
burn research and treatment; and conduct burn survivor support
programs that help children and adults cope with the devastating psychological
and physical effects of their injuries.
